The Biocrat is aware.
Aware of time. Aware of place. Aware of himself and all that surrounds him. The Biocrat is stardust, not clay. Is a stakeholder, not a slave. A story, not a number. And therefore, truly free.
The Biocrat balances facts, feelings and faith in harmony. Fears not failure. Fears not being forgotten. Fears not being finite. Purpose is clear. Wisdom is absolute. Hope is unbreakable.
The Biocrat enjoys the supreme privilege of being here, now, in this lavishing planet filled with beautiful, intriguing, complex creatures. He loves, laughs, lives in constant awe of the wonders around him. And he painfully recognizes the volatility of such cosmic rarity. How precious, delicate and important the natural balance is among all species.
The Biocrat acts with purpose. Creates with wisdom. Manages with hope. Ensures the future, because he can. Because we must.
He values the individual. Respects the collective. Has a profound sense of duty, matched only by the grandiosity of his dreams.
The Biocrat needs nothing for everything. He wishes to cause no harm, leave no scar, and make no judgments. Just to be as invisible as one can be thriving, instead of loudly surviving. Invisible without losing connectivity, curiosity, creativity. Invisible in Peace and Prosperity.
The Biocrat is an alien on his own planet, with the mission of peeling every layer of information, understanding it, and ultimately, saving it. The Biocrat is a human. A self-improving inforganic system, one of a rare breed in an infinite number of life forms scattered across the universe. One with imagination.
The Biocrat sees imagination as the perpetual engine of tool-building, question-making, reality-bending. Constantly moving us beyond the limits of our individual and collective achievements. Imagination is the limitless fuel of change. And we all have it.
But he also acknowledges how young the human species is. How immature, chaotic, destructive we are, for ourselves, and all earthlings. We are but teens with a troubling, violent past. Still trying to understand our role in this universe. Still trying to figure it all out.
The Biocrat serves no God, seeks no Glory, and despises all forms of Greed. Doesn’t recognize the collective agreements so far established to create the conditions for humans to supposedly thrive. All former and current ruling systems are juvenile, lazy, and above all, corrupt, because they all track back their origins to a crucial existential premise that has only one possible outcome: inequality.
The Biocrat rejects all systems supported in beliefs enforced by always suppressing the truth. The truth that we are not that special, or divine. That we are not here to do as we wish with the planet, rule above all creatures, or conquer other worlds. And that we are all equally deserving of an opportunity to enjoy the privilege of being alive, and help to ensure the future.
The Biocrat challenges the fundamental illusions that money is wealth. That democracy is a governing system by itself. That laws and borders are above Truth, Ethics and Justice.
Money is an essential tool that just needs to be put in its proper place. For far too long it has become the central axis around which all societal wheels spin and turn.
Democracy is an essential tool, but to be used alongside Diplomacy and Diversity to help us achieve better collective agreements.
Laws and borders are essential as well, but only if they are set to benefit life. To help us enjoy the privilege and ensure the future.
The Biocrat respects the historical use of these, and of all tools, despite the catastrophic results in so many cases. We are simply too young to not be making basic mistakes.
But we need to grow up.
The Biocrat stands for a life-based social-economic system, instead of a resource-based system. The Biocrat believes in effective, progressive, sustainable management of the universe’s most precious asset: life. Together with the mastering of Energy, the level of awareness around life preservation is the only reasonable way to assess our stand as a civilization. Of any Civilization.
The Biocrat believes that mankind has all it needs to escape the apocalyptic certainty looming upon the generations to come. It’s not a matter of technology, science, data or design. It’s a question of awareness.
The Biocrat has absolute trust in our ability to offer a path, or at the very least, a framework, for the upcoming generations. One that translates the maturity of a species that is aware of its potential and responsibilities for the next million years.
One that helps us grow up, and guide us through the difficult times ahead. But also to inspire us. Something we can trust. Something to give us hope.
The Biocrat is anyone and everyone. He is all races. All genders. All ages. And we must all thrive, if we want to survive.
